Maybe I am just old and used to the old ones but this years was kind of lame. What do you all think?
I have to admit I watched them at home on a big screen but there wasn't any of the old WEBN in it.

The old WEBN has been dead since Clear Channel bought it ten years ago. Like everything else involving Cincinnati radio, it is a hollow shell of what it was.

After going to Thunder over Louisville the last couple of years, I was excited to see the fireworks tonight. I was definitely kind of let down. Thunder is a far bigger event, and their display is easily twice as good.

I had an awesome time, but I was right in front the WEBN Riverboat (at the Clear Channel tent).

Sure the fireworks were top notch but the sound track was lacking from older webn stuff. just thought it was kind of lame.

With little decent new music, you can only fit so much Van Hagar into each years sound track.

Anymore I only listen to the soundtrack and not the fireworks when sitting at home. I wanted to go but feel like I have the flu......which is why I've been posting everywhere the past 48 hours......can't even get to the garage!

I watched them and am happy. Granted I haven't been there in person since before I joined in 99.

WEBN and the fireworks were much more personal and in touch with the locals then IMO.

Brute Force Cybernetics and Tree Frog Beer commercials dominated the airwaves. Add to that the once young and very sexy looking and sounding D.J. Robin Wood (whose family owned EBN) and you had one awesome radio station with Cincinnati flare. Oh the days of yore. Oh yes and don't forget those WEBN commercials with Robin Wood dancing to good old classic Rock. She was Cincinnati's most eligible Bachlorette back then.

I went with a group of people, walked 10 blocks to see them, and ended up walking ten blocks back to our party and watched them on a garage roof. We got down there, and could only see half of them, and I thought that they would of played the soundtrack while letting them off, but I didn't hear anything. I think next year, I'll watch them on TV/on a garage roof, haha!

How about the one drunk ass who took the cone with them lol, I had him convinced to take it home with him until his other drunk buddy knocked it out off his hand.
