Where the fuel door bolts to the body, there are 2 little plastic inserts that fit into the body, you bolt the door through those. I need em, and don't feel like ordering them from 50resto. Let me know if you have some. Thanks,
Rick

This is what I'm talking about. Where the door goes has 2 square holes.

When I put the door in place it looks like this.

I can't help but think that there is supposed to be some sort of insert in that square hole.

Yep right there, if you get time, pull those 4 bolts out (save them..lol) and see what, if anything is behind them.

I just removed that from a 93. The two bolts by the door hinge, screw in to the part of the gas door. The other two went into the plastic splash pan that holds the filler neck in place. At least that's how the 93 is. If you need all of that (door bolts and filler neck)let me know.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I technically NEED any of it. I just went to bolt my fuel door back in place and didn't want to bolt it up if there was supposed to be something underneath the bolt, filling that square hole. Know what I mean?

Yes what he said. I just took mine off too and there is nothing in the squre hole until you put your door in place.
