My wife and I celebrated our 1 year Anniversary on Sunday.
We did three nights of Camping at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge Georgia.
Day 1:
Hiked a bunch at Hard Labor Creek (probably 13 miles or so). Then walked around the historic town of Madison and then went to Panola Mountain and Hiked that Mountain and watched the Sunset over the City of Atlanta.
The following day we went to Atlanta and Toured the World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium, had dinner at a wonderful restaurant called Canoe on the Chattahoochee River, then ended the evening with a Braves Games.
Next Morning (anniversary) we packed up the Tent and headed towards The Ritz Carlton Resort at Reynolds Plantation.
Wow what an amazing resort, the service, food, and amenities were absolutely amazing. Had one small problem as I requested early check in and upon arrival our room was not ready. They upgraded us to a lake view room from resort view for the delay.
Really caused no problem as we checked our bags at the front desk and headed over to the spa put our suits on and enjoyed the lake and pool till the room was ready!
I can't suggest this place enough. It's beautiful and quite affordable. For everything that you get.
