My buddy just bought a 95 Cougar with a 4.6. He's hoping to replace the engine on the cheap. This isn't a race car, just a daily he picked up to drive. Anyone have an extra 2V motor??? Does he need to worry about what year he gets one from? PI vs non-PI? I don't know much about 4.6's so I can't help him too much. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you change non pi to pi on these cars you will need 96-97 fuel lines from the hard lines to the connection. Some minor wiring modifications, 96-97 throttle cable and have to modify the cruise control to use it. There may be a some other small things, I did my pi swap on my 95 cougar last year it was kind of a pain. Only 94-95 thunderbird/cougar non pi will drop right in.
