Have an issue with mine and want to take the case apart and see if the touch screen has come unplugged or loose. It quit working but the phone comes on and functions other than that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mike,

Go to this Powerbookmedic.com site, click on free repair area, enter the model # of your iPod, and enjoy.
And here's a video to look at also.

Ship it to me, I'm great at taking stuff apart. My best advice is to get a BFH. Jfwy, good luck, stay safe.

Funny! :) Believe me, the hammer did flash through my mind! Thanks Greg, I'll look that up when I get to Benning. I will most probably have to find a harbor freight or hit up the motor seargent for a tiny little phillips screwdriver.

Hey Mike, check this out. Not sure it'll help you or not, but may be worth a try.

Thanks guys! I got it apart finally, it's toast. The screws were tightened too tight at the factory so both sets of threads are stripped out. Had to force one screw out because it was stuck in the hole. Got it apart, and I guess the touch screen is shot, it has four pins that contact a plastic circuit pad on the screen side. Just doesn't work. I tried rebooting it, and that didn't work either. Oh well. I guess if I want one I have to either wait on new parts to hit the market or chance buying another one overseas.
