Anyone tell me if a 205/75/15 would work vs a 225/75/15 on my car trailer? I found a good used set of the 205/75/15's on rims off another trailer. Just dont want to buy these and not have them work.

They are shorter and narrower

the 225's are 20mm wider, and 20% taller than the 205's

Here is the basic size difference...looks like it should help your problem with hitting when your putting your car on the trailor...I think the 205 will have a few hundred lbs less load rating.

225's 28.4 diameter
6.6 tread width
8.8 sect width
205's 27.2 diameter
6.1 tread width
8.0 sect width

I personally would not switch the size steve. See if my little brother has anything in the right size.
