I don't know who goes out there regularly but this was my first time seeing the Lemans cars run. I had a blast, the cars are beautiful and sound so good! This is a good time and makes me want to build a car that corners! Here are a few pics from the pits.

Oh, saw an old Lotus Espree while I was out there. This was my favorite car as a kid. It stuck with me from a James Bond movie way back.

LOL, isn't that the truth. I'm trying to figure out how to get one of their jacking systems on the coupe. You hook it up to an air line and a series of cylinders comes down and lifts the car off the ground. I saw the Ferrari do it first and my jaw dropped and then the wheels started turning! :D

That's what the world thought when Carol Shelby did that for the first time at LeMans in 1967. He beat the super cars with a much faster pit stop. The cars went through tech-inspection and the pnuematic jacks were kept a secret. During practice the Shelby team used giant manual jacks (similar to a swingarm stand), just like everyone else. When they came in for the first pit stop, the jacks hammered down, the car went up, and jaws dropped! :jawdrop: It's been standard equipment since then.

I wish I could have attend this year. I really wanted to see the GT2 battle with the 'Vettes added to the mix.

Did you see the SPEED World Challenge GT race? (Not sure which day the race was held off the top of my head.) Brandon Davis' Mustang Cobra has a 6.0 N/A Aluminum Mod-Motor that sounds intoxicating . . . . plus he won!

Yep saw it, the car did sound amazing. I was happy to see him win and in another race A Ford GT also led every lap for the win. I'll be going back!
