View Full Version : One of a kind Ferrari/Saleen deep dish 3-piece wheels - NEW

I have a set of wheels that are, in my opinion, some of the best looking wheels I've ever seen. To me they remind me of something you'd see on a late 80's/early 90's Ferrari (F40 anyone?), or the Fox Saleen wheels. They are the real deal, full 3-piece wheels with a polished lip, gold center, and black outer bolts. They are made by Work Wheels. They're perfect for a Fox Mustang, 16x7 in the front and deep dish 16x8 in the rear. Or you could always get them widened - which is what I wanted to do. Something like 16x10 or something would be hardcore.

The wheels have a few minor blemishes but they are new and in otherwise excellent condition (see pics, and don't mind the water they were in my garage and a bit dusty so I just washed them off). As you can see in the pics, they have little black inserts in the 5 mounting holes, and one wheel is missing them. I don't know if they are necessary but you could either just take some out of the other wheels or call Work and see if you can get more, again if they are even necessary. I do have 3 center caps which obviously doesn't do much good, but these things look waaay better without them anyway. Beyond that, I really don't know much about these things. I got them for a steal off eBay a few years ago in one of those situations where somebody had no idea what they had and did a terrible job of listing it, put it in the wrong category, and put up like 1 or 2 small blurry pics. Well I took the chance and it paid off, I only wish I had something to put them on. These are very unique wheels.

It kills me to do this, I was so saving these for a "rainy day" but I guess it's time for me to part ways with some of this stuff that's just been sitting in my garage. All I ask is that whoever buys these, please put them on something amazing and send me some pics.

Make me an offer. Email bucs24@gmail.com

Nice wheels, although I am not a fan of the yellowish colored spokes.

Price?

I have some wheels I wanted to put on my '78, but they won't fit without modification... darn Ford for changing backspace and bore size. :(

They look pretty close to these:

Work EWING Mags. They are a little rich for my blood. :(

I agree, though they look much better without that huge center cap.

I know what you mean, I'm not usually either, but these wheels really look tough, and on the right car they'd be insane. Also because they are 3-piece, you could technically unbolt the center spoked piece and paint or powder coat or whatever you want with it.

I really dunno about a ballpark price. I mean I had CCW make a custom set of 3-piece wheels for my 94, and that set me back $2700. Granted those are 18s, and different I know, so I certainly don't expect that much but these also aren't Pony's or Cobra R's. I've done some research and apparently they fit Supras too, but obviously I'd much rather see them on a Mustang. I really dunno, but I definitely think somewhere between $700-1400 is a good place to start. Again, you can't just call up Summit or go online and order a set like this. I'm sure they'd score big points at a car show or something, they are very unique.

Good call, yeah those are similar, although the center caps I have are way different, but still definitely much better sans center cap.

Surely someone has a Ferrari red Foxbody? :bigthumb

Those would be the wheels to send off and have the front narrowed to a skinny.. 16' drag radials out back.. Those wheels are bad ass

Work Ewing dished...SICK...

They would look sick on a road race style notch, or even maybe an SN95...

I have a Ferrari red notch they would look really cool on just don't have the extra cash for wheels right now, plus I already have a old school set of 3pc wheels.

Oh yeah for sure, that is a sweet car they would look intense! I had a fox coupe I wanted to put one of those Wings West wide body kits on (the ~$2500 body kit) and throw these wheels on. :D But yeah I don't have money for that and I sold that car.

FWIW, since you posted up a price range.

The last set I found online the guy was asking for $1200 unmounted in that silver. You might have a better chance selling them on an import tuner site. CSS, SRD, HondaTech, etc.

Thanks man I'll give that a try. Yeah I do think these are worth every bit of that. I would much rather see them end up on a Mustang though...

No doubt. With 16lb rims, they're pretty decent. Mine would be on a Sonic blue Pinto. :p

I've been tossing around getting these:

thank you I appreciate that, I spent a lot of time on it.

I'll take $600 for the wheels if anyone is interested. They're easily worth double that and still a great price for a set of track wheels if nothing else.

Interested in trade for some 05+ 16" Mustang wheels/tires and cash?

http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/3623/841/21555420004_large.jpg

I have the center caps, and stock tires with 8k miles. They won't fit on my MII spindles. :(

I might be able to talk the wife into letting me have a few dollars to play with.

I tried to message him a while back about these, but he hadn't replied...

LMK if you get a hold of him and choose not to pick them up.
