Well it seems my ball joints are putting up a big ass fight on coming out. Ive tried using a pickle fork and WD-40 didnt work. Ive tried hitting the spindle back and forth with a hammer didnt work. Ive tried hitting the top of the ball joint above the spindle to jar it loose didnt work. So is my next option to get a torch or some PB blaster? Or is there something else I can try when I get home tonight so I dont have to wait to get those. Thanks!

You can usually Spread the lower portion of the spindle that grips the top of ball joint with a chisel or screwdriver. Verify that all retention hardware is removed and source a large prybar... Good luck.

All it takes is a hammer and a jack.

You have to remove the caliper and rotor.Remove the cotter pin the castle nut on the ball joint, put the jack under the control arm just enough to relieve the tension from the spring.

Loosen the ball joint castle nut untill you the top of the nut is flush with the threads on the ball joint.
You can either hit the nut or the control arm with a BFH to dislodge it.
Ive never had one actually stuck in the spindle.
Where are you located? Maybe I can swing by and take a look at it.

I have a jack under the control arm and I have the caliper and rotor and I even took the tie rod end off to help give me more room to get leverage against it. I drove the seperator straight through to the other side of the ball joint, still doesnt want to budge. Im located in Southern Alexandria by Campbell County High School, so it would be a far drive for you I appreciate the offer though. If I use a BFH on the top of the ball joint might it bust loose and fall threw on the bottom?

Yea it should. But you should be able to smack the control arm with a BFH and have it at least pop loose. Its just wedged in there, nothing else is holding it into the spindle.
Loosen nut to the top of the threads. Then smack it with a BFH on the control arm.
Once it pops loose jack it up a little and remove the nut. Then lower the jack far enough to remove the ball joint.

Ok so I ended up getting the spindle off the ball joint, but now the ball joint wont go through the bottom of the control arm. Ive beat it about 40-50 times with a hammer pretty hard and it still wont come out. Any tips on this part? Or should I just keep bangin away? Thanks

Might have to bite the dust and fork out the 40 bucks for one, either that or just buy a new control arm all together while Im down there.

Ok so I ended up getting the old ones out, but now how do you all suggest going about getting the new ones fully in place? Can I hammer away at the bottom or just get a press? Also any tips on getting the inner tie rod off? The dust boot is lodged on there with the retaining clip like no other. Sorry for all the questions but thanks for any help.

Go to your local az, pepboys or advance and rent a ball joint press. You will give them a deposit that they give back to you when you return the tool.
