7th Annual MainStrasse Car Show in Covg, Sun Aug 16

Sunday Aug 16 at MainStrasse Village in hisorical Goebel Park aka downtown Covington KY by all the bars and shops :)

Top 50: 40 pre-1980 and 10 post-1980, and 10 Best Of. Rain or shine!!
Registration is 9-noon.

I am sure some of you are familiar w/this show and Chris and I will probably be taking both the stangs....for the 1st time! I have gone to this one for yrs and am looking forward to it.

Anybody planning on going to this one?

We have a group every year and they save us our usual spots, don't know if they have a Stangbangerz award this year or not though.

What time are you guys going down? The show starts at 9am and we will be 2 other stangs coming with me for sure, so 3 total. Today I hand-painted 2 of Chris' calipers....and it got dark. So I have 10 more calipers to paint tmrw so you will see my handiwork on Sunday if it doesn't turn out like crap....

Anyway we already washed the stangs, gonna clay bar and wax tmrw and we're gonna get down there w/our buddy early, I think he's staying the night tmrw so we get an early start.. probably right at 9 so we can get a good spot.. isn't the SBZ spot across from the fountain under the trees in the grassy median?

Ron, my wife and I plan on getting there a little before 9:00 I am not sure if another of the people/cars will be there that early or not. I am guessing about 10 spots on the far end of the last island to the left by the clock. If anybody wants to meet up before hand that early my wife and I will be at Frischs at 7:30 for a little breakfast before the show that way we can roll on across the street just before 9:00. My cell is 513-720-5686 if you want to meet up.

I'm coming for sure. I don't get home from work until Sun. morning. I hope to be down there around 1030. Under the trees will be very,very, nice if you can save some spots. I think I have Firestang70 talked into going.

Dude. After we left, we were all 3 on our way to meijer and I got a freakin ticket by our house.... Go figure. Chris was driving in front of me and our friend got the light way behind me. The cop said he radared us both going 60 in a 45 and I was driving behind Chris. I HAD to pull over and not keep going (like Chris) since the cop pulled out behind me....

We were going the same speed as all the other cars and there were cars going faster than us even. The sad thing is it's right before the speed limit changes to 55 and I totally was not going 60 so the cop was crazy....

The sadder thing is that it was right by the cruise-in we were going to so the president of our car club and half the club drove right past me and honked at me, as I was pulled over sulking on the side of the road...

Welcome to the world of getting screwed. I was nailed on 125, supposedly going 54 in a 40 (In the PACIFICA). Go figure! Sorry to hear that though especially since you end up paying for it for three years after the fact (ie: car insurance hike! :mad:)

great show, good talking to you. I'll get ahold of those for Cavalcade and I can drop them off to you actually. I drive home from mason every day and can take either 71 or 275, makes no difference to me.


saw a LOT of familiar cars from here, they all looked great.
