The old 2 seater Ford Escort. I rode in the back of one of those things one time for like 3 hours straight...it was tough!

I wish I had pictures of that car. It was wrecked at least 7 times and never fixed. When the engine finally let go it only had one fender and part of the nose left on the front, headlights were duct taped on, driver door was crushed and you could only get in the passenger door, one tail light was busted, rear bumper was pushed in...God that car took a beating.

I bought an 87 I think, years ago at the auction. It smelld like a cigarette and was just plain nasty. I got it for under 200 dollars and drove it home. Cleaned it up and sold it in 2 days for a 1500 dollar profit. I let it go buy here pay here for 450 down and 50 bucks a week. Ran and ran. Great little car. Did the same with an 87 escort lx. Those things def took a beating.

I bought the first red 86.5 EXP Sport Coupe in Cincy at Woody Sander Ford.

I paid sticker, I was only 19, 10,595 I believe, still have the brochure.

Basically a Escort GT driveline in a EXP.

Why did I choose it over the Honda CRX???? EXP was rated at 110 hp, 87 CRX at 92 HP and as the GF now exwife said it looked like it got hit in the ass by a bulldozer.

I had one exactly like that back in 1991. I had it for about 6 months and then traded it for my first Mustang, an 82 GT. It was a fun little car.
