Anyone run 5 pt harnesses and stock seats?

just wondering how you configure the crotch strap with factory seats. I know most race seats have a hole to come up through.

good question ... i was told to get a jacket and 5 point harness from edgewater (mid to low 11's), but i dont want aftermarket seats ... they necessarily didnt say anything about a cage ...

I just bolted mine to the floor and loop it around the seat....works fine

what if my sack is so big, that i cant run a 5 point harness? ... will edgewater just let me run my lap belt?

Run a 6 point, yes I'm being serious.

Most 5 point anti submarine setups will literally "rip you a new asshole" in a hard frontal impact. Not to mention rupture the twins.

I've heard of a seven point setup, but didn't dig "that deep" into the thread.

Ok, picked up a set of seats today that should look pretty trick. Was trying to figure out how I was going to mount the crotch strap.
On a side note, there shouldn't be any way to hurt your sack with both lap belts holding you back. If the belt comes across the front of the seat, it'll really only be tying it all together. I'm buying Cam locks this time around.

I still run my stock coupe lx seats in my car with a 10 pt cage. The crotch strap I have mounted to one of the bolts that goes through the floor for my driveshaft safety loop. The lap belts bolt into the stock seat belt bolt holes.

I run the belt up through the seat. My '86 has the thigh supports that slide out. i mount the belt to a bracket that I fabbed up, which bolts through the front seat bolts.
