Actually Steve (Blackpony) asked for a picture or two of my Nitrous set-up on the sons Coupe. Movin along pretty good. Just need to pick up a couple of relays now for the nitrous, purge and gas solenoids. Son says he's out of money so I may pick up a bottle heater for him. Guess the Dyno tab is gonna be on me too :cussin:
The good news just received......sons cousin is gonna lend his pro shifted Tremec to us http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo6/Mongoose2990/3gears.gif

It looks in the pictures like your solenoids are floating on the hard lines to the spray plate- that means vibration leading to cracking leading to big kaboom. You might want to brew up some support for them.
If it were my car, I would cut an inch out of the copper purge line where it floats between the engine and firewall and clamp in some braided hose to allow the engine to move independently of the chassis without flexing the line.
Also, you have only one throttle return spring. It's a little thing, but NHRA requires two, and it could cost you a tech inspection.
Looks like fun!

Solenoids will be braced and the other carb return spring is underneath on the back side of the spring bar. I'll keep an eye on the copper tubing, Thanx
Had a simular setup on my car Hitman kit. I ditched the hard lines for flex lines and solenoid mounts. The hard lines can break the fittings. Also when I put mine togother I called NX and talked with them and I was told the fuel solenoid should be at the front of the engine. Not sure if it matters but that is what they told me.

i have a similar set-up. i used solenoid mounts and 2 1' braided lines from the solenoids to the plate. if i get time tonight i'll run out and snap a picture of it. i did have to bend the mounts a little to clear my air cleaner though. looks like fun. what shot?

Gonna do a 150 or a 200. Prolly start out with a 150 and see how the Holly blue pump reacts.

Is that holley blue just for the nitrous? With the kind of n/a power you are making, that might be pushing the limits of that pump. Maybe some carb guys will chime in with some advice.

Just the blue supplying it all, Chad. I think we'll be ok with a 150 shot. The dyno will tell.

I bought a dyno tune kit just like that one for $102 shipped to my door. It shuts the heater off at whatever pressure i set it at.

The first thing I noticed was the DP badge, my brother used to make those for Mike, they were made to fit a TFS-R box upper, but it looks great where you have it.

2 things i see .It looks like you only have one reg for both carb and spray . you need to y the line before the regulators and run 2 .one for just the carb and one to the nitrous / you will need to adjust the fuel pressure on the spray and the carb will not like when you start getting down to 5 or 4 pounds on the nitrous to lean it out . You want to buy the cheap holley ones for the spray they work the best and have quick recovery when you hit the sauce. The other prob would be the holly blue for both carb and spray . Dont now how much hp the motor makes but a holley blue on just the nitrous would be just barley enough when you start getting to a 250 shot . So if the motor makes and stream get a bigger pump or add a 2nd pump . And just a side note [SIZE="5"]stay way low on timing !!![SIZE="1"]that is what will hurt you not lean . Good luck and welcome to the addition  next thing you now you wat to put a 2nd kit on it

It's a pretty stout little engine off the bottle. It made 393rwhp/353 rwtq.

I agree with most the other guys, that blue wont be enough. When I was using nitrous I had a blue and switched to a Magnafuel 275.

I ran Holley Blue for a few years spraying a 125 shot. I made the switch to a Holley Black

Its the 750 HP Holley and the moon is the limit

I agree with Jason on the 2 seperate regulators and bigger pump. The Nx stuff has a higher pressure tune anyway. I have a holly blue and dead head regulator for just my Nitrous. BG280 for the Motor

I'm thinkin we'll make right around 550 hp. Carb likes anywhere between 5.5 and 7.5 psi. If the NX likes anywhere in that range I think we'll be ok. The dyno and our ears should let us know whats up. Hopefully it will be all good when we're all done. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions......helps me think what I might need next. Would have been easier to leave it N/A

i also run a holley blue pump and im not really happy with it my fuel pressure is always going up and down on its own ive changed regulators twice with 2 different name brands and still the same thing so im looking into getting a new fuel pump

I have a Mallory Comp 110, and am running a Mallory 4-port return-style regulator. I am running both the carb and nitrous at 5.5 PSI with absolutely no issues. N/A our setup is about 30HP under yours, and about the same nitrous setup.

Holley blue flows the same as your Mallory. What nitrous shot are you using?

Correct- just backing up your thoughts. We're running a 200 shot, so the fuel demand is about the same as your engine with a 150 shot, as you are making more power to start with.
FYI, it's a Edelbrock Vic Jr. plate, Cheater solenoids, and Holley 650 DP carb.

Sounds like I'm close to being on the right track. NX prefers 5psi fuel with the hitman.

It wont be long now, Rick. Dyno may not be till next week. Bottle heater should be here Thursday. Guess I'll put the 200 jets in tomorrow.

The only thing that really worries me right now is hitting the MSD rev limit. We should be on the dyno early next week with the 150 for starters. May go to 200 that same day if all is cool.

I run a window switch- shuts off 500 below ignition kill.
