I have no idea why it says that. I had an 89 convertible and it had a set on it. I have also used convertible mounts on a 90 hatch car, so I cant figure that out.

That might be true. I know they will bolt to the frame and the engine.

Conv mounts do sit lower in the car, Way better then stock mounts IMO. I run conv's in every car ive had. The stock style (lx-gt) are just solid rubber, Conv mounts have a bar that runs through the mount so if u rip it in half it wont let the motor fall (oil pan against the k-member) like the lx-gt style will. Just clarifying the situation. And im not sure about solid mounts but i dont see y they wont fit all models within the year range...
