I appreciate it guys. I had a good time tonight. That's the first time I have won in the 3 years i've been running it. I even had a perfect light tonight in the round aginst Craigels. I just had good car tonight that was leaving hard and luck was on my side. It was bitter sweet to run the dirty bird in the finals. He put me out in the 2nd round at the last UMTR at Edgewater. He said he seen tailights in front of him and for one reason or another thought I had already passed him and he lifted. I went blowing past him like he was sitting still. Winning tonight made our long trip back to Brown County a lot better. Craigels I thought maybe you missed a gear thats why I blew past you. I was running motor all night. Didn't have any nitrous. You cut a .227 light to my .000 and that's the only reason I caught you.

HA HA you're a funny guy there!!!! I know it wasn't easy. I dont know what the car count was. I think it was like 33 cars. I had to go 5 rounds in eliminations to win.

Yeah Vicki even told me a mile down the road from the house to turn around and get the video camera. I said no lets just keep going. She said what if you win. I said i'm not going to break any records tonight in this heat. And I figured you could enjoy yourself more not having to tape.

Congrats Steve! You caught me quick, like 330' out so I wasn't sure what had happened. At the time I didn't think my light was that bad. Even if I had a decent light, it wouldn't have mattered the way your car was running and your .000 that round. Glad to see another new winner! Great job!

Thanks evrybody I really appreciate it. It's definitely nice to see someone else winning it besides Curt. J/K Curt dog but I have your # now and you better be on your A game at the next outing:lol:. Once we hit eliminations last night my worst light was an .034 and that was in the last round.

Hey Jeremy I appreciate it. The race we had was tight all the way to the stripe. I thought for sure you were going to get me when I didn't powershift 2nd gear. I know we were door to door for awhile there.

Yeah Rick it might be best you stay in retirement!!! Yeah I got this little game down now. I dont think 11's on motor are happening until we get some good air again. I've had 12.00, 12.01, 12.03, and 12.04. It's just teasing me now.

This is true. But there's no reason at all with some good air that my car cant bust off a 11.8X @ 114MPH or so with a decent 60'. My 60's back when the tracks first opened were 1.55-1.57 and now for some reason they have been 1.6X. I think the next good day if it's on a track day I will nail 11's on motor. I had all my 12.0 runs in 1400 ft of air. I beleive all I need is some air below 1000FT and a good track and it's on!!!! But right now that's the least of my worries. Right now I am focusing on this plan I am designing to kick Curt's ASS at the next UMTR and run Shannon in the finals and get my 2nd win!!!!!

Congrats Steve! I know for a fact that car has the power to make it to the 11's no problem. You have stuck with it through some really tough times to get where you are now. I think it is so cool to top all that hard work off with a win!!! Congrats man! come up and see me when I get back.

come on Steve...
Every squirrel finds a nut once in a while...
(I think you need about 3 more wins if I remember right to be at my level of lethal-ness!!!:flipoff:);)... and I didn't see any of your runs running dead on your dial in.. like 12.030
ahh, you were on that night... No doubt about it...
Congrats, you were due for a win... I want to see Shannon catch a groove and win one of these nights...
