Saturday at Edgewater/UMTR during the 2nd time trial I broke an axle on my '88 stang. Jeff Tom (jlt2006) offered up his car for me to race, because I am in the points race and he is not competing for points this year. Keep in mind I have never driven his car before, it is his daily driver, and it's a really nice '06 mustang. By doing this, it meant he would become a spectator for the evening, even though he had paid his $30 to race. He would not take no for an answer.

To me this was a big deal. He didn't seem to think so. I did go 2 rounds and gained 10 points for the night.

Sometimes someone can so something so nice for you it just takes your breath away. It can really renew your faith in mankind.

Thanks Jeff! You're the best.

pay it forward.......

I think the first time I broke my Honda at the track, Jeff88coupe let me us his chain so someone could pull me to the top of the hill at Edgewater to wait on a trailer.

Second time, Dave Sawyer was there with his flatbed, only charged me $25 to tow me home, and I live near Fairfield.

Very cool. Tell the guy he's got a $30 buck credit at my shop. Heck, he can use it for some dyno time or something.

That's funny right there, Dave!

Now a huge THANK YOU to Steve and his crew at HyTech Automotive. My car is already fixed and on it's way back home!

Life is good.
