This does not beat my wife telling me she was pregnant 9 years ago but it is pretty amazing.
As some of you may or may not know I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have had it for a long time and the medication is expensive. No ins medicine can be over 2000 a month. Alot of insurence companies dont deal with enbrel (the medication I take) and if they do it can still cost 300 + a month on top of the cost to have insurence. Psoriasis is dry deep cracked skin in places and feels like sandpaper when touched. I have that and the bonus of psoriatic arthritis, wich attacks the joints and can even attack eyes. (not mine) One day you can be free of pain and the next have a slight stiffness in any joint and the next day you cant move it without more pain than you can imagine. The good part it the pain doesnt go away either. It gets worse...yaaay.
Anyway I have been talking with the people who make enbrel (its A shot I give myself in the stomach every week) and after some paperwork and a little time, they enrolled me in their encourage foundation and called me about ten min ago and said I am in... I get medication FREE for a year. FREE
I am not usual an emotional person, but I just started crying. I am teared up now. I havent cried tears of joy since my daughter was born.
This is just the best news and I had to share it with my extended family.
I will be able to find work easier and to live without all the pain and embarasment of the skin thing. Well I ll shut up now....Just wanted to share my GREAT NEWS.:angel:
