Tire Recommendations?

What tires would you guys recommend for all purpose driving with a 2001 GT? I have a friend looking for some new tires. 17" tires...not sure about the width/heigth.

I would suggest avoiding BFG KDW's. I had them on my SRT4 and they were noisy as hell. It was hard to talk over the tire noise on the highway.

Those are some pretty stiff Z rated tires if you ask me.Pain in the ass to mount/dismount.

yokohama, garaunteed 60,000 or they will refund you, and they take almost no wieght to balance out. i sell them everyday and they are cheap as far as cost goes

2000gt Has these and these tires rock. His car used to kill the michelins then he got these and they hook great. Feel real good for a daily, and dont seem to wear fast.

Here is what bfg says about them :

I'm a big fan of the Goodyear F1-GS-D3's. They are great in the rain, aren't loud, but are more on the expensive side of things.

Toyo Proxes arent bad.

I have these on my car now, they handel pretty well wet or dry. No wheel hop either. When I buy new tires I'm probably going with the Nitto NT05. They got excellent reviews and have not heard a bad thing about them yet.

i recommend the KDWS's myself, i have them on mine and have put over 10K miles on them with little signs of wear

I hear Southside has great price on all Toyos...:bigthumb
