I need single-guy vacation ideas--anyone?

Like posted I have vacation in August and want to get out and "find" myself and have some fun.

anyone have any ideas on vacation places where a guy can have fun without a significant other?

I want to go to Vegas--that is one of my thoughts. I know a friend from HS out there.

II'm thinking:
Vegas
chicago
Moab Utah (ride the Moutain bike)
White water rafting somewhere
Roughing it in a national forest out west somewhere

Southwestern Colorado as a base camp... Ouray/Telluride area. A few hours from Moab, plenty of white water rafting and tons of National Forests to hang out in.

I spent a few weeks there about 10 years ago...most beautiful place I've ever seen.

I have never been but that will change in about 9 days. You know I went to florida every year for many years and I loved it. I am going to move there in a year.

I like Rich's idea but I would also add Durango to that list. There is lots of mountain biking that goes on in that area and the mountains there are gorgeous.

There is NO place like Vegas, it's phugin awesome. I want to go back, this year. Seriously, I'd move there if I didn't have so much family in the area.

Well, i was planning on a cruise, but I don't know--everyone tells me to go. I have friends I can visit in Vegas, NYC, DC so I'm not sure.
