For sale is my 1988 Mustang Convertible. It has 140k on the body. The motor has 90k on it. This car is in good shape but it is a 21 year old car. The top is about 7 years old but in good condition with no rips or tears. The interior is also in good shape, each seat has a small tear but is very minor. The back seat has a small white spot in the seat back but again is very minor. Ding in the driver fender about the size of a quarter. Deck lid is rusting at the lip but I have a good deck lid off of a coupe. Just needs painted to match This car was cared for but it needs some attention to make is perfect. This car actually still has a functioning ashtray door. Any mustang person knows that this is rare. Listed below is the mods that are done to the car.
Engine: Stock H.O. motor out of a 90 thunderbird, Underdrive Pullies, new water pump, professional products upper and lower intake ported and polished. Morroso 7 Quart pan plumbed for return line from turbo. Heads have been milled and valves ground. Has new felpro headgaskets 1011-2’s. New arp head bolts. Black and silver finned valve covers, Aluminum radiator, black magic electric fan.
Drivetrain: New stock flywheel, Centerforce dual friction clutch, HD T-5 from D&D performance, adjustable cable with aluminum quadrant and firewall adjuster, 8.8 rear end with double stacked clutches in the differential.
Suspension: Adjustable upper and lower rear control arms with spherical bushings, New poly bushings in diff. housing, Mac lowering springs, Kenny Brown frame ties, G-load brace, and Strut Tower Bar.
Exterior: Stormin Norman Ram Air hood, rest is stock, paint is about 8 years old, convertible top is about 7 years old.
Interior: AutoMeter sport comp gauges, Fuel press, oil, water, boost, tach, volt, center vent gauge pod, upper console pod that holds tach and two gauges, two gauge piller pod, custom radio and gauge pod.
Ignition: Msd Blaster coil, Msd 6-AL ignition box.
Tune: MegaSquirt Complete Stand Alone engine management system. Tuned with a laptop and wideband. This has a tune for 9-15lbs of boost.
Wheels: 99 Cobra wheels.
Brakes: 5Lug Conversion: 98 gt front calipers, spindles, rotors, and pads. 88 Lincoln mark VII rear caliper brakets, rotors, calipers, and pads. 93 cobra 2 port master cylinder, 94 v6 brake booster, wilwood adjustable proportioning valve.
Fuel: 255 in tank fuel pump, adjustable boost referencing fuel pressure regulator, 42lb Lucas Racing injectors.
Turbo Kit: B&G Custom Turbo Kit, Custom headers, Crossover pipe, Tial 38mm wastegate, Tial BOV, front mount intercooler with custom fabbed brackets, all silicone and t-bolt clamps, Master Power T-70 turbo with .68 exhaust housing.
Exhaust: Custom mid pipe with y-split, summit muffler kit with flowmaster stainless tailpipes.
Gauges are not fully installed but some with car. I also have a 6 point bolt in / weld in cage that is not installed but with go with the car.
Needs: E-brake cables and handle from a svo mustang to complete 5 lug coversion. Needs the gauges reinstalled with center tach pod. Radio needs installed. Cage needs installed. Needs two front tires (dry rotted) rears are new. Needs springs or shocks as one side is leaning and rubs when it hits bumps. Needs 95 ball joints installed to eliminate the spacers as the 88 ball joint studs are to long. Ding in fender needs fixed and painted to blend. I have the paint code from koi. Lots of extras to go with it. A good deal for the price.
