i need some help i bought a 1995 kawasaki zx6r and am having some issue trying to find out what the motor really is and info about it i am sure my brother will chime in he has all the numbers but i need help breaking down the vin number and the motor number can anybody help me

Just checked it with mine and it just tells year make and model. Have you tried calling a dealer?

thanks man it is the motor number we are having the main problem with is because if where the oil filter is the aftermarket header we got wont work the oil filter is on the clutch side instead of in the middle like the header company says it should be

Post some pictures. All Kawasaki ZX-6R engines have the filter in the front.

Are you sure it's not a "600R" (ZX600C)? Those engines have a paper element filter, not a spin-on canister type.

it is a spin on type filter but it is on the clutch side of the motor not in the middle and me and my brother worked on it the other day and think we have a bad fuel pump but would anybody know what psi that fuel pump should be putting out on that 95 zx6r and i will get pics next time i am down there working on it which should be this coming weekend

well the bike is in middletown and that is where we are gonna work on it and if all goes right we are gonna be working on it saturday or sunday got to get mustang fixed first then gonna go down to brothers house
