This is so badass looking...i'm still trying to understand how the damn thing works...anyone know anything about the hubless wheel design? How or what is driving the rear wheel?

Looks cool, The first builder to try this was Billy Lane he built 2 of them using the rotor parts from a helicoptor. The name of the bike is hubless.
His website is Choppersinc.com check it out.

Did he end up in prison or something? Seems like I remember something about him being involved in someones death a few yrs back.

He was driving his PU intoxicated and on suspension, and killed a guy. Never heard what happened to him after that. If he is in jail, Im sure they will do a documentary about him coming out and being all better after the situation.

Wow, has lots of talent but he really screwed his life up good. Seems like fame really screws a lot of people up. With a quick search I found this article that states he had been in trouble more than once for drinking/driving.

Ok on that bike you can clearly see the chain...how is the other bike being driven? I don't see any provisions for a chain or belt or anything. Both sides of the wheel/rim look the same. It looks impossible. I also like how the front wheel matches the back...it makes it look even lower to the ground.

has to be some sort of traction roller drive.

I was thinking maybe something pushes off the tire itself up in the fender? That seems kinda unlikely but that's the only thing i can think of.
