Well I went Kil Kare tonight and only managed to get 2 passes in. My first pass right off the trailer and at 190 degrees coming out of the water box ran a 10.79@123 with a 1.64 60'. I launched at 5800 and just blew the tires off. So I need to back the launch down quite a bit. So I am absolutely stoked at this point and time and hot lap it back up. I guess being caught up in the last run I forgot to arm my nitrous. I launch and pull a 1.58 60' all motor and realize this thing feels like a turd. So I shift to 2nd gear and right before I made my 2-3 shift I turned the spray on and sprayed it thru 3rd and 4th and managed a 11.43@123. So yes I screwed that one up but finally I got this thing in the 10's and I didn't even have to powershift it.

1.649 60'
4.593 330'
6.982@103 MPH 1/8
10.791@123MPH 1/4

Thanks guys!!!!Yeah I think I am done running up there though. My car doesn't stop the best and I was downshifting and had the brake pedal damn near to the floor and it took everything I had to get it to stop on both passes. The idiot that ran with me on the first pass decided he was going to cut over in front of me down at the end and I didn't think I was going to be able to stop in time from hitting him. But I was able too. This guy cut a big time red light on the tree and was running 10's with no cage, helmet, jacket or anything. What an idiot he is. So guy in a black foxbody mustang GT that had a Denso NMRA sticker across the front windsheild. Not sure who he was!! I seen Tim and Jason up there but noone else. I was only up there for an hour and a half. Of course the wife took video and the battery was about dead so it's pretty blurry. My first 10 second pass and the video sucks. But there will be plenty more. This is just the beginning for me. Time to play catch up to all you guys that have been doing this for years.

Yeah the air was like soup tonight as well. The DA when I made that pass was 2108. Can't wait for some good air at the end of the season.

That would be Kevin, flyin2jz, he's on the dozen. As far as Kilkare goes, I firmly believe that if you have trouble stopping, then you haven't sufficiently upgraded your brakes. Not to be a dick, but your trying to stop a 10 sec. car on what I assume are stock brakes. A cheap upgrade to stainless braided brake lines ( about $70), and replacing your brake fluid, will make a huge difference in stopping power. I could make the first turn at KK from 124 mph in the vert, using stock rear brakes, stainless braided lines, new fluid, bbk slotted/dimpled rotors and Hawk front brake pads.

Anyway, congrats on your first 10 sec. pass. I know you have worked hard to get there.

I will be the first to admit that the brakes aren't the best and yes I plan to fix that real soon. Kevin flyin2jz no hard feelings but man your brave running with no helmet or cage. I cant beleive they dont say nothing to you. I go up there to tech in with shorts on and they like to jump my ass for not having pants on. I told them I had some with me and the guy tells me to get them on asap. But hey different strokes for different folks!!!

I should have went to Kil Kare along time ago. I am superstitious and that is where I got my first 11 second pass last year. Go up there last night and just like it was nothing there it was. Didn't have to powershift it or nothing.

Yes that is it. I put a stage 2 and track heat on there to allow those AFR185's to breath better.
