Mercury Capri 1/4 panel needed

Need Passenger side lower rear section of 1/4 panel for 84-86 Mercury Capri. (Section below fuel filler door)
Must me rust free.

Should be able to make a quarter from a mustang work since the wheelwell is the only part that buldges out on those cars.... right?

I have been searching last night and tonight for this.....This is simply lucky that I even have this, but 5 or 6 years ago, I parted out a 4 cyl wrecked Capri, and a guy on FoureyedPride needed the same piece, but fell off the face of the earth and never answered emails or PM's. Luckily, through 2 moves, I still have not thrown that piece away.

However, this may or may not be exactly what you need. For one, it is not rust free. For two, I cut it behind where the rear marker/moulding goes from wheel well to bumper cover. So, if your damage goes above this moulding it will not work. If your damage is below, you can cut and re-weld underneith the stock moulding to hide any imperfections.

If this is good for you, you can have it.

If you want a rust free one, you can take it from a rust free Stang as the wheel lip doesn't start until above the marker/molding (I am looking at a Capri and Stang side-by-side as we speak). Hope this helps.

There is a yellow capri at Besslers in Hebron pick your part. There are a few fox's there too. Most have been picked over pretty good though. Worth a shot.

Early (79-82) Capri 1/4 panels seem to be the same as the Mustang in that lower area.
Later (83-86) Capri 1/4 panels are totally different than the Mustang.

I need the later (83-86) style from a Capri.

1983-86 with the reflectors in the molding are what I am looking for.

There is a 84 at the U pull and pay in Hebron Ky, not sure of the rust but the whole car is there.

Isn't that the truth! My project has been on hold for a while too.
I can find Mustang II parts easier than Capri parts. All the Capri cars seem to be gone now. I never thought it would be this tough.
