How many times have you been stuck in the staging lanes for what seems like hours and you watch your slicks die a slow death as the outside temps plummet after sundown? Well last time at Edgewater for the UMTR race I see someone break out a cool cordless inflator and wham bam thank you mam he was up to psi and thinking about his race. No bulky tanks to carry around. So I set out to find one for myself and this is the one I came up with, works like a charm! Craftsmen retails for 44.99 but can get them for less if your in the Craftsmen tool club. Set a desired pressure on the digital readout and lock the start button , when it reaches the psi you want it shuts off automatically. 19.2V.

That is pretty cool. Much better than running around looking for the air at the track.

it says 200 psi, but that seems awful high?

thatd be great for when i'm done running, i carry a cig lighter pump, but it is uber slow

it's a pain trying to fill up from 15psi back to 30 for the trip home

how quick does it fill?

does it work at a decent pace?

I have a Jump-n-Carry jump box that has an air compressor built in. I like it, maybe not as good for staging lanes and slicks, but I don't run slicks. I drop the DRs when I get there and raise them back up to drive home. It screws onto the valve stem so you don't have to hold it. It'll fill a 315/35/17 from about 14 psi to 32 psi in about 2~3 minutes max. Plus it can jump start your car!! Try that with your puny inflator hahah

I have been using the craftsman compressor for 1.5 years now and love it. Its not the fastest in the world but gets the job done. Probally a couple a minutes per side on your car Terry ;)

Yea, you can set it to what psi you want, lock the end on the valve stem and lock the trigger and walk away it will shut off when its done. I fileld two flat bicycle tires in about a minute to 65psi yesterday.

I happened to stop in Sears today for something else...but it stopped in the tool department to take a look at this compressor since I wanted one. It sucks that it doesn't include a battery or charger with the pump for $44. You have to either have other 19.2 C3 batter craftsman tools already that use the same battery or buy 2 batteries and a charger for $80 seperatly. I would have bought one today if it came with it's own battery and charger.

Slick Air about $10 at your local speed shop.

I have one of these in my glove box I have used it several times works great for a pound of air every once in a while.

If your a member of the Craftsmen tool club they send you special deals all the time, I got an impact driver, drill and two batteries for 95.00, they all work off the same battery. In the lanes during the quarterfinals Sunday at the UMTR race one of the guys slicks was going flat, let him use my inflator and he was good to go.
