I got to drive the red one while in Detroit. I was in the shop working, most stepped outside, ok, time for a break. I had heard a 5.0L drive up, but all I saw was a Focus, hood wasn't popped.

Went back to work and heard it fire up......WTF is going on....I go outside and WHAM!!!! holy crap! Just a simple carbed 302 crate motor, 5 speed, don't know the rear gear. But 2-3 shift you'd better be pointed straight with the short wheelbase.

Ford had one built with a complete '03 Cobra drivetrain...the engine, T56 and IRS all under a plain jane looking Focus. The engine even fit under the stock hood.

Actually yeah i think that's it. I seemed to remember it having stock wheels though but that's probably the same one. The story i read on it said that a shop owner was contracted to do the build and Ford basically just gave him the credit card and said make it happen. How badass would that be??
