What does everybody think about ebay solid motor mounts? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-04-FORD-MUSTANG-4-6L-SOLID-ENGINE-MOTOR-MOUNTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ50454QQihZ001QQi temZ110385922759QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Is there any way I could mod my stock mounts to make them solid?

Why do you want solid mounts?

There is always good things and bad things about changes such as this. I would highly recommend going with a good known brand. Solid motor mounts see more stress than the flexible ones. You might consider urethane mounts as well - less movements but still dampens the vibrations.
I have seen folks add restricting bolts to keep there stock type units from flexing as well. Good luck!

What do you mean by restricting bolts?

Running a bolt through the mount to "squish" the rubber and keep it from flexing as much.

Not a habit I would recommend, just have seen it done.

What could that hurt?

If you drill a hole in something, you are weakening it! Especially if you are adding a ton more power. The motor mounts transfer all that power to the trans and rear end. Major stress point. Don't skimp on it!!!

add some flex sections in your hot side....

I did but it rip a little whole in it... Kinda want to do away with the flex pipe.... rather have the motor mounted to the body plus it only gets about 2k miles a month if that..... And also want the engine to torque the car ( I think it will look cool) Any suggestions? Thinking about just squashing the rubber!!!!
