So I have kept this on the down low for quite awhile and other than a few people that I hang out with at the track, nobody else really knows this. But anyway's my wife was diagnosed with a rare cancer this year that is call carcinoid. It has been pure hell trying to track this thing. For several years now she has been having issues with this and every doctor in the tristate couldn't figure it out. We finally had a doctor that referred us too the Cleveland Clinic. So after our 2nd initial trip up too Cleveland a doctor up there figured it out. I know she wishes we could have taken care of this a long time ago. Anyways this Carcinoid tumor has apparently attached itself to her right ovary. So we are leaving this weekened to head back up to CLeveland for her surgery on Monday. They beleive there's another one on her appendix as well. From what the cancer doc's up there say she should be back to normal once all of this is removed. But you never know right away. As long as it hasn't spread to her liver she should be fine. I'll tell you what, this thing is like a bad computer virus. Just to give you an idea as to what it does is it releases serotonin into the blood and when it does all hell breaks lose. Just an idea what happens when the symptoms hit are, explosive diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, hives, flushing, itching, B12 deficiency, no sex drive:mad:, no energy, headaches, dizziness, memory loss. An actual episode just has the explosive diarrhea, hives, flushing, severe abdominal pains, and itching. All the other stuff is a constant 7 days a week 24 hrs a day. So we are keeping our fingers crossed that after Monday she is back to her old self again like she use to be. That is after she makes a full recovery. So if everyone could keep her in mind this next week we would appreciate it.

Praying for all the cancer to be gone. I know what it's like to finally be diagnosed something after years of dr's not knowing! At least she is on the right path now and the cancer will not return. If your family needs anything, let me know! Have a safe trip to Cleveland.

Great! Glad that you are getting it taken care of this weekend man!
From coming over and hanging out at Steves I have seen first hand Vicky's condition. It's sooo weird how it just has it's moments where she's fine, then the next minute (usually after a meal) she's down for the count...

Well now that things have settled down a bit around the house here I figured I would give everyone an update. Her surgery went great and the doctors beleive they got it all. We have to go back up to Cleveland next week for a follow up. She is still in a lot of pain from her incisions and all the exploring they did once they got in there. But beyond that she is doing fine. She is eating normal meals and she is moving around pretty good. Today was her first time outside in 3 days and she enjoyed that. Playing Mr mom has really been a chore for myself. I guess you dont realize how much you take for granite everyday. We both appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayer's. I'll keep everyone posted on her prognosis.
