Working on an 80 Mustang 5.0 and the vacuum advance does not hold a vacuum, so I believe the diaphragm inside is bad. Anyone have one laying around? I called Autozone and O'reillys just before they closed tonight and both had 3 to 4 day order time, none in stock in the tristate. ANyone have one they want to get rid of and I can possibly meet them tomorrow? I need to get this car back on the road.
I have been working to get my daily driver going for the last several weeks. I got it going late last night so that I could drive it today. Everything went fine for the first 50 miles. This evening it started to run like crap at idle and under part throttle, so it seems to really mess with gear shifts (AOD). My buddy suggested I look there, and sure enough, not holding any vacuum.
Your help is much appreciated.
