As most of you know, I have been with the H.C.S.O. for over 6 years now. With the budget in Hamilton County and always being threatened with job cuts I have made the decision to leave.
I haven't been on the board as much as the past because I have been really busy. I have been going through Miami Twp.'s process. I have completed it, FINALLY! They offered me a position there and I gladly accepted it.
I guess there is change in the air.;)

Good luck man! Hope all goes well for you in your new position!
There is nothing worse than constantly looking over your shoulder wondering about your job...especially at the hands of Hamilton County politicians!

Glad to know one of our own is protecting and serving in my community. Hopefully you never need to pull me over though as I'm getting older and am less prone to do stupid stuff.
Welcome to Miami Township! :bigthumb

Congrats....Hope it goes well for you. My cuz is a Hamilton City cop and they were told that at least 12 of them will likely be "laid-off" in May. Supposedly no money. It amazes me that the city officials can't find the money for much needed fire and police but they find it 2 or 3 times a week to go golfing on city time. That's a fact - we live on the golf course they frequent for "meetings".

Congrats dude! I know a thing or two about change! And my month long agonizing jumping through hoops was just peachy. Didn't know I had the gig until they sent me a plane ticket two days before I had to leave!
Sorry you had to leave the sheriff's office, but on the other hand, glad you laterally transferred, that has to be cool. Enjoy the new job and be safe.

I see the move by Terry as a big win. He can watch over the Milford Friday night cruises, get to see a lot of nice cars, mayve escort us to QS&L?????
Terry, is the commute shorter now?

I work in Anderson third shift, so the comute is just a tad longer, but with the S.O.'s they can transfer me to different districts, and last year I worked over in D-1 for a year and it was 72 miles or so round trip. No more worries about things like this.
