1 engine mounting
2 headers
3 trans issues

Well, my big block knowledge isn't very extensive, but isn't the 390 the same "block" as a 460? It can't be much different than swapping one of those in. The biggest issues are headers, spark plug access and hood clearance with the distributor.

It would be very similar as swapping in a 460.
390 is in the FE family (352,390,427,428,etc).
460 is in the 385 family (370,429,460).
Looks like there are swap kits

390 is a FE motor, 460 is a big block, there is a pretty big difference, but it is always possible to shoe horn some motors places were they ain't meant to be. The biggie will be finding the headers which i am fairly certain are made by a couple of companies. What kind of trans are you trying to run, can always use the good old c6. All in all it can be done.

Yeah i was just doing some reading on this and remember the 385 family tid bit but there was basically just some changes to the block casting. I think the overall swap would go about the same.
