will an 01 v6 motor go right in a 97 v6 car? all acc the same and etc....???

nope, there is a lot of little stuff such as throttle cables etc. Main difference is your motor now is single port and 01 is split port, just a lot of little stuff. There is a lot on info on 3.8mustang.com

The only mod that is tricky is the fuel rail everything else will bolt right up to a 97 if it was a 94-95 you would need to use the 94- 95 motor mounts cause the use a 5.0 k member the 96-04 uses the 4.6l k member! the acc brackets like alt., A/C ,and power steering are all the same from 96-04! Here is a how to mod the rail from return-less to return style that the 95-99 v6 uses! Here is how some do it at least!
