hey i have an aftermarket firberglass hood on my car, and it won't close completely now because of my new radiator/hold down. would cutting out the 12-15 inch section on the underside hurt it at all? it would still have support around the area. also how would i be able to do that? thanks

What kind of radiator hold down do you have on there that wont let the hood shut?

You should pick up one of those formed aluminum jobs... virtually eliminates any brackets sticking up. Your hood hinge bends over it just a little, but a very nice piece

it's a steeda bracket that i picked up at cincy speed. the hood is from cincinnati composites. so that could explain it lol

you hit it right on the nose.. if you just purchased it there take that junk back and get your money and find a used hood, but i can say some cincy compos hoods arent half bad but some well its another story

i bought it 3 years ago now. it's fine until i feel like spending the extra to get a good cervini's hood sometime down the road.
