My fuel pump is not working. What do I have to check to see if it is the pump or something else? 89 wiring harness. Thanks...

There are only two wires that actually run the pump. Get some jumper wires and hook it to a battery. I have a few old pumps around if you need one for testing.

Do you have the fuel pump relay pluged in under the driver's seat?

When I get done with work today I am going to try the jumper wire. There is a relay under the driver's seat. No idea if it is good or bad.

It is easy to test them, just look for outbound power when the key is on. There should be in coming power from the computer, then the relay sends a higher amp output to the pump.
