Well since begining on my 94 I have aquired quite a pile of metal junk. Mainly the old exhaust including the 4 converters and a few other pieces. I was just curious if anyone knew the scrap value of this stuff. I see people stealing the converters all the time so I figure they most be worth something, plus it has some weight to it. If not I will put it out with the trash next week.

Also the parts are not worth anything as far as being put on a car...I cut the crap out of them to get everything off. The only think intact is the headers.

You can sell the converters, but I am not sure where. they bring good $$. The rest you can sell for weight, but I am not sure what they are paying currently.

How much you get depends on a lot of things (size, shape, condition, age). Look up Roundbottom Recycling, they buy them.

Any idea what price per pound? Round Bottom Recycling does not state a price, just bring it in and see. I just want to get a general idea so I know if it is worth my time. If its only worth $5 then I'll put it in the trash, but if it is worth $30 or so it would be worth my time to take it there.

I've heard of people getting as much as $80 for a stock 4 cat H pipe.

Roundbottom just gave me $14 2 weeks ago for the cats off my fox. All comodites have plummeted in recent months and scrap is no exception. I got $80 for the cats off my SN-95 last year but a lot changes in a year. Different cats have different levels of palladium. Also you have to use a business name if you scrap more than one per day (stupid new laws).

Well if that is the case the trash man can have them. I live too far to do 1 at a time for that kind of coin.

Thanks for all the replies.
