We are taking donations for the Inter Parish Ministry and Clermont County Foster program at the Spring Cruise In, April 19 from 12-4 at Quaker Steak and Lube in Milford.

Inter Parish Ministry in Newtown who is helping folks who have lost their jobs and can't afford anything. These individuals are referred by social workers and will receive toiletries, baby food, clothing, boxed/canned goods, etc. This is their critical needs: Canned Pasta in Sauce (ie. Ravioli), Peanut Butter (crunchy), Jelly (all flavors), Pasta & Spaghetti Sauce, Cereal (cold, all types), Shampoo / Conditioner, Deodorant, Toilet Paper/Paper Towels.

The Clermont County Foster program is looking for books. The need books for children and teens available when they are waiting in our lobbies, visiting their parents during supervised visits, etc as well as books on parenting that parents that have had their children removed from them or are at risk of this could borrow.

If you can not attend and would like to donate PM me and we can set a time to pick up the items!

This sounds so easy. I am sure $10-$20 worth of donations from each person on here could really make the day of alot of familys.

This is a really good thing to do and I am sure the families will be very greatful. Unfortunatly, my brother in law and his ex wife lost their 2 kids ( 3 & 5 year olds ) and it seems both are not making a lot of effort to get them back. The one small bit of good news is that my wife and I have custody of them. The bad part about dealing with children services is they dont allow us any kind of assistance. They told us the amount of child support the parents were ordered to pay would give us more than they would allow. That would be great if the mother paid child support. The father has paid every time but the mother has sent no support at all. We still have to use our gas to take the kids to meet the parents. I can assure you anything you can do to help these people would help. I am planning to attend the cruise in with my son and nephew and we will be bringing some of the items listed. We do not need any assistance and are fortunate enough to have extra to donate at this time so we will be glad to do so. I have contacted a lot of people about parts i was interested in and now you know why i cant afford to spend money on the car, but eventually i hope to get started on it.

I've got some simular stuff and a bunch of cereal and canned pasta. Kids don't care for it anymore. Just scored a bunch of coupons in the mail for the frosted mini wheats that Kroger has on sale! Also going to go through my stock pile of stuff. Excited about this! Sure hope the weather co-ops!!
