Went to Vances Shooting Supplies in Columbus this morning. Three hours later and after handling about 20 different handguns this was my clear favorite. Its a Kimber Ultra CDP II. One of their custom shop guns. Trigger pull on this gun is as close to a single action revolver as I have found. This place was absolutely friggin packed. You had to take a number when you go in and they asked you only take a number if you were seriously considering buying. They had 40 people waiting in line when they opened and they went through 365 people with numbers while I was there.

I have an Ultra Carry II in satin finish and it has never, ever given me any problems. I don't really care for the back strap safety but it is a nice piece to have.
Congrats on the purchase!:bigthumb

Here's mine...

I bought a couple boxes of Hornady .45+P 230gr TAP FPD 950fps. I believe this will be my preferred carry round. Kinda funny the .45 ammo was 21.99/box of 20. I bought 1,000 rounds of .22LR for that same price. Came within a hair of buying a Bushmaster AR-15 they had for 975.00.

I love my Bushmaster. Wish I ordered it with a flat top, folding front sight, and fluted barrel. Mine works well. Maybe the next one.

A GI 1911 of some sort is on my x-mass list. Probably a springfield standard.

That is a nice Kimber. I have had that on my short list for a while, but i keep buying high capacity semi auto rifles. I picked up another Ar, AK-47, Saiga 12, and i am looking for the right Sig 556.

I will start with the handguns after a few months. Although my stang keeps on eating into my play money.
