I just pulled the rear cap to change the RMS and decided to pull a few other caps to see what the bearings looked like. I pulled em all except the middle and front one, the pictures are in order back to front. Tell me what you think..

They definatly show some wear but they are 21 years old so I guess you can't complain.

Thanks alot hrsepwr, thats definitely going under the favorites. I planned on re-torquing the caps and running the bearings as-is since I am dropping the engine back into the car tomorrow.. do you think it'll be fine with these bearings?

I would replace them if I were you since you have it apart. Make sure that you check the numbers on the back of the bearings to get the right ones. And I am assuming that you dont have a Dial Bore Gauge so I would get some plastigage and check the clearences with the new bearings installed to make sure all is ok.

New bearing's are only about $50 for rod's and main's.

Any time you drop the pan and start pulling mains or rods, replace the bearings. Its cheap insurance.
Replace them.
