I think fordfan's old engine made something like 256hp with unported P's, an X303, Typhoon intake and exhaust/intake etc.

you should hit 290-300 ... i know a few guys at that number (unported) ... having an aod, the dyno numbers may read differently? ... maybe a bit more drive train loss ...

post your numbers when you dyno it ...

Yeah they say 15% for a stick and 20% for an auto but those are guesstimates.

anything less than 250, something would definitely have to be messed up ... stock engines can come close to that, with e7te's ...

exactly maybe some of you are forgetting his anemic sn95 5.0 car came rated at like 225 from the factory. so he probably would make 180 at the wheels stock through his auto. I'd say hes lucky to have picked up 60 horse from his little E-cam and headers,etc. so like i said less than 250rwhp for sure:popcorn: probably closer to 235-240.

See that's funny because i've seen several STOCK 5.0s make 200-210 at the wheels. If i remember right i think even Vinny's old black coupe made something like 210 at the wheels once. Maybe there's really something true about the old "factory freak" stories.

If it was EFI..... I would prob agree... but with a carb I am betting more, I have had many carbed engines.... one was stock shortblock with ported E7's, B-cam, stealth and 650 and made 289 at the tires with a 5 speed..

Last one was 306 with 10.5:1 unported GT-40"Y" heads with custom cam, same carb and intake style, 326 at rear tires with a 5 speed, the came made that engine run good, but was a tad much for the street but wanted the most power I could get... that was also back in 98-99 ish... people are smarter now....

With a carb it is very easy to make power with simple parts..
