I came in today around noon, didn't have dyno time scheduled or anything and these guys worked me into the schedule and then preceded to tune the crap out of my humble little 'stang! These guys are top notch and took great care of me as always. Big thanks to Craig, Adam, Tracy and sorry man i forgot your name (sorry about the stupid headers again..lol). The car runs sick as hell now, very little bucking considering the cam specs and it pulls hard as hell. They even tolerated me poking my nose into everything trying to learn a little bit

Thanks again guys, keep up the good work :bigthumb

Not too shabby for a duel plane intake, not quite enough carb and 40 year old heads

Yeah man it's running great :bigthumb

I'm curious if you ever had it dynoed but i'm afraid to hear what it made with better heads....might cut down on my excitement level..lol

Oh by the way, one of the head bolt holes were stripped :HYF: We took care of it though :D

Nice Dave !! Is it drivable??

Heck yes it's drivable! I'm more shocked at how much smoother it is to drive than i am about the numbers. Before when you were slowing down to a stop and downshifting, the car would buck pretty hard...which is typical for a cammed engine but now i can run it all the way down to 1500 before it bucks, whereas before it would start bucking at about 2200.

So yeah in other words, it'll be at the spring cruise in :D

Glad to hear it worked out for you! I never had no head bolt problems but ok I guess but never noticed it when I pulled the heads. I never had it on a dyno but it went 10.59@128 N/A in my fox body hatch with pro-topline heads.

Yeah it's cool man...i'm not startin nothing or anything like that. When i was bolting on the first head, the front/bottom hole never even bit down...the bolt almost dropped clear through it. We didn't even have to drill it out to tap it out to 1/2 inch.

You got a Chebby big block in the works yet? I'd like to see that when it's together.

Congrats David :bigthumb..What carb setup are you running??

Same old Holley 650 double pumper i've had on it since forever ago. I sawed off the choke horn last summer...aside from playing with the accelerator pump cams and jetting, there's nothing special about it.

Thanks again David for trusting us with your Stang. To be honest, I was surprised with my crew for making time to get yours in (One on the rollers and an SUV waiting for the rollers)....but I guess I shouldnt have been because these guys do Great work and I totally have trust in them.:cool1:

Anywho, let me know when you get the intake on there so we can do some more pulls.:D

347 with ported 351 heads, N-91 cam, Stealth intake, 650dp, plus all the typical exhaust and other cheap mods. How about yours?

sweet, nice numbers ... mines basic ~ a 331, twisted wedge heads, victor 5.0 intake and a small cam (.512 lift 232 duration) ... i may let foxlake work the heads, set me up with a cam and port match that lower intake ... he's claiming @420 to the wheels ... its tempting :D

See i've been looking over a lot of combo dyno sheets and guys with TW heads and AFR 165's and they're not making any more than i am...could my heads really flow that well? Maybe i'm cutting them short just because they're stock iron heads. I had it in my head that if i scored some Twisted Wedge heads it might put me over or at the 400hp mark but maybe not. Adam recommended i look for some AFR 185s and switch to a Victor Jr. intake and step up the carb to a 700-750 and said that should put me around 400-420.

my twisted wedge heads cc'd out around 165-168, not the 170cc; they claim out of the factory ... i would guess my heads flow around 240 cfms on the intake side ... not impressive at all ~ thats why im shocked the car almost traps 120 mph ...

now if you send the twisted wedge heads out to foxlake or total engine airflow, they can get them flowing over 300 cfms ... then you will rock and roll :D

im a big fan of afr's right out of the box :bigthumb i have a friend running a 331 with the victor jr heads, he dyno'd just like you (362 to the wheels), but pulled around 6700-6800 rpms ...

i think jeff on the board here, dyno'd over 400 with a 347 and ported afr 185's ... if you dont port the afr's, you're probably looking around 375-380 area on horsepower ...

I'd be pretty let down if i shelled out $1500 for heads and i only picked up 20hp or so...i guess i'll be running this combo for a while until something really nice pops up in the classifieds. I may switch back to a Victor Jr and a 750 and see what that does.

Yeah well you shouldn't have sold that sweet ass hatch you had!!!

Hey Craig if you read this, can you email me the tuning file? Kenny has the program and said he can overlay my graph onto his so we can compare them.
