I've got an 86 lincoln with a 5.0 engine Roller cam. Speed density fuel inject, I think. Anybody know the diff of the short block other than cam to a mustang engine?

its exactly the same if out of a mark.. the HO motor, flat top pistons and all. The marks used same cam's as mustangs. Only diff was they stayed speed density all the years. If motor is still stock, it does have flat tops tho.

ok then thats a lopo motor, so cam is diff but, yes you can change the top end and its essentially the same. Pistons may not be forged... i cant remember on the lopo's that year.
