The Standard EFI system is a single-stage non-adjustable kit designed as a direct bolt-on installation for late-model vehicles equipped with OEM fuel injection and engine components. They are manufactured as direct bolt-on installations with freeze-free spray bar design and are compatible with OEM engine components. This ''freeze-free'' kit does not require additional fuel pressure regulators and offers a simple and inexpensive approach to increasing HP. It's also compatible with many aftermarket intake and injection upgrades.
The single-stage adjustable kits are design for 5.0L EFI Mustangs from 1986 - 1993. They are also direct bolt-on installations with ''freeze-free'' spray bar designs and are compatible with OEM engine components. In addition, they have adjustable HP settings, and do not require an additional fuel pressure regulator.
The Supercharged Mustang kits offer low HP settings to slightly enhance power output and to aid the cooling of the mixture. The 50 to 175 hp kits are our highest-output single- stage systems available for normally aspirated engines. Upgrades to the fuel system are necessary on supercharged kits and also at the 175 HP level on normally aspirated kits.
The Mustang EFI dual-stage adjustable systems offer the highest increase in horsepower available while still using the OEM-style intake manifolds and injection systems. Note: Aftermarket intake manifolds and injection systems are usually compatible also. Engine components may need to be upgraded, depending upon the level of power desired. Also, the system requires the support of a higher-volume fuel pump. If other modifications have been added to enhance engine power, a dedicated fuel system may be advisable.
* Power levels for adjustable dual-stage plate kits are as follows: 75/150, 75/175, 100/200, 100/220, 100/240, 125/260 The second number reflects combined total HP of both stages.
