On another forum a friend of mine was involved in a accident with a Semi. He credits the roll bar for saving his life. Notice in the last pic the roll bar doesnt even look bent.

His story:
Well---early in the morning on Monday, I had just left to go to work, and just as I was merging onto the 5 fwy, the car got away from me and a 18-wheeler semi truck hit me right on the driver door. The car was pushed across all lanes, and luckily everyone else missed me. When I came to, my foot was still on the brake and I put the hazard lights on and drove the car back across the freeway to the shoulder.
The roll bar stopped the truck from coming further into the interior of the car, but I still have two broken ribs and a fractured pelvis. Because of how the breaks are, I am expected to fully recover in 6 weeks. I think because I was also wearing the 5 point harness---that helped me too. In the emergency room the paramedics and firemen could not believe that I got out of the car alive after being t-boned by an 18 wheel big rig. They were passing around pics of the car and were amazed how the roll bar held up. I spent 3 days in the hospital, and now I am resting comfortably in my "rent a hospital bed" in my living room, where I will live for the next 4 weeks as I can not go up the stairs. Physical therapy will be 3 times per week---but for now I am using a four legged walker to get around.
Anyway, oddly enough the frame doesn't look bent as the truck bumper was too high to hit the frame, it hit square on the door. But I still expect a total loss as a 2005 mustang with 78K miles on it just isn't worth that much.
But, honestly, I don't really care. I am alive. I have no head or spine injuries. No one else was hurt. I am lucky to be alive
