Project: Low Budget. 2000GT

I purchased this 2000 GT back in November 2008. It wasnt in the best of shape when bought. She needed rod bearings, timing chain tensioner, and needed its fair share of body work. Here is what the car looked like when I first purchased it.

Then I bought a cowl hood for it and a right front fender. Then sent the car to a friend of the family to have them work on the body.

Here is some of the body work that has been done. The right rear had some surface rust come up. So we have to redue the body work.

I thought about white for mine, then decided on gunmetal gray! Suites my persona better. LOL

the interior wasnt to bad when i got it i just had to get a couple little trim peices for the inside i but i picked them all up at the junk yard for like $15

i couple lil things i got to put under the hood now. i picked up a x pipe, bbk under drive pullies, cold air intake, coil packs, and 70mm tb. not much but its a start. i'll post some more pics in a couple days.

Not a big fan of 2v's, but that fresh white on the black wheels looks great. It's also nice to see someone save a car, instead of destroy it like most.

yeah i know what you mean about the 2v's, lol. but im coming around its starting to turn out good.

a friend did if for me for free he said he put some pearl in it. at the cruise the paint job was just straight form the gun, i havent got it buffed of any yet.

Mine was the black one i was standing by... Its black with blue green and white pearl.... Ive done alot of mod's to it including a turbo kit...... When you get your gears in we should go to Edgewater... Or 32 whatever sounds better lol.... But Im' thinking about going this friday if you want to go up there give me a call 513 319 4278

getting the stang painted again. the last paint job was already starting to have rust bubbles coming through in the back wheel wells, it was a free paint job though they fixed the all the body work but the rust just kept coming back.
now i got it at my step dad's friends shop getting it painted again. this guy redoes cars for a living and i've seen his work, so its going to turn out good. he ask me if i wanted to put pearl in the paint again i told im no, but he talked me in to it. i'm still keepin it white but this time this guys said he is going to add some blue pearl to it when he sprays the clear

i'm seeing alot of 99-04 cars rotting out on the quarters:( hell the 94 up cars are doing it bad around the wheelweels too.

yea i seen alot to. the guy thats doing the body work and painting my car this time said that he is always having to fix the wheelwells on mustangs.
he said that ford for some reason put some kind of packing in behind the wheelwells to stop some of the road noise and the stuff ends up holding water causing them to rot

Looks good man! You shoulda moved the spoiler back some though. I did it with mine and it made it look soooo much better. I dont understand why Ford put those spoilers basically in the middle of the deck lid.:dunno:

Yeah you do have to redrill but the spoiler will hide the old holes. I have mine where the front of the sides JUST covers the front holes. Here is the link that helped me a little. Just make sure to measure 10 times before drilling. lol

yeah me and 1992mustangdw put new timing chain tensionor, and rod bearings in it and that fixed it. and its been working fine since then.
it had a small miss in it when you were in 5th just cruising down the road, but a new set of cops fixed that.
