im not getting no oil up top on the rockers, brand new oil pump and drive shaft

im guessing your trying to prime the motor? brand new motor? oil passages blocked? spinning the pump the right way? need some more info

motor has around 40k on it and spinning pump counter-clockwise with a drill and its pumping up because the drill is bogging down and danm near smoking my drill.and when i stab the dizzy and start it no oil coming out of rockers.

are you sure u used all the gaskets pump to motor and the one for the pick up tube? sometimes it takes a while to get it pumping to the top,are you sure your on the pump with the tool?

i got oil pressure now and they stopped ticking.i got a oil filter relocator.would it be ok to mount it kinda high on the frame? like around were the sending unit is?

is this on a Ranger ??
If so.. I had mine on the inner fender by the overflow/washer box.
You can see it in the first pic, by the duraspark box..

yeah its in a ranger 86 and i just mounted it under the core support
