i put my new msd ignition on the other day, and no matter what RPM i set it at, when i rev up to 2 step it smells like something burning? is this supposed to happen? like a spark plug misfiring or something? not sure? any and all help would be appreciated

hmmm not sure, but you know if you beat on a turbo, they distinct smell it has??? well it has a certain smell, (not turbo smell though) the smell is honestly undescribable, maybe if you could shoot me some sugestions that it might smell like, maybe i can let you know lol

I think on turbo cars it kinda puts fuel in the manifold and it ignites in the manifold to keep the turbo spooled up and to load the motor so you take off with boost. It works, but I'm pretty sure that is bad for the turbo. With that said maybe on a NA car it does the same just with no turbo and boost. Do you have catalyst convertors? If so it could be those going to shit.

the 2 step takes spark away, the ecu is still dumping fuel. when your on the 2 step, you are loading it up, and if you still have cats under the car, you will plus them up rather fast with lots of 2 step action. hope this helps..

i have an o/r x, but im not gonna put it on, im trying to go turbo, so here soon im taking the ignition box off and getting rid of it
