when you prime a 5 liter with a drill does oil suppose to come out of the pushrods?its hydraulic roller

yeah, typically takes a little while though. If it is not coming up through the pushrods it sounds like your lifters arent pumping up?

You mostly want to prime the mains,rods and cam bearings.Top of the motor doesnt see ALOT of oil,just enough to keep it lubed.If there not pumped up now,they will be after a few minutes of warm up.
