Careless smoking in the store!!! cigerette tossed into a garbage can that was left in a storage room with toilet paper and towels. They were saying last night there was a lot of water damage to products in the store, most of it being on the food side of the store. At least that is what the fire report is saying.

FORT WRIGHT, Ky. -- Crews battled a fire Thursday night at a Fort Wright store.

Shoppers were evacuated around 7 p.m. from Walmart on state Route 17 after smoke was spotted inside the building.

Dispatchers said fire might have been inside the ventilation system, and firefighters from two departments battled the blaze, which was extinguished around 7:45 p.m..

One person suffered smoke inhalation in the fire, dispatchers said.

Walmart employees told News 5 that the store would be closed for the night.

No additional information was available, and the fire remains under investigation.








I had nothing to do with this. Besides, I like shopping at Walmart so I can get all dressed up when I shop, unlike some other low rent stores.

Also heard that it may have been a fired employee. Just a rumour though.
