How would we know if that would go right in? He is acually wanting a nitrous cam, so it might work for him.
Why does it say requires machine work on cylinder head?
it might have to machine the seat pockets to accept a bigger spring.
i've got a new in box hydraulic roller comp cam. i havent even taken it out of the shipping box yet. i've also got a set of hydraulic roller lifters with the vertical locking bar for a non roller block. i'll take 750for the pair.
499.99 for the lifters and 250 for the cam.
i plan on taking the lifters back saturday so i'd need to know soon if you wanted or need them

I read his sig. My set up (the one I was going to run), was very similar. I was using cast iron Windsor Jrs, which are very comparable, to the GT40s.
The cam was spec'd, for nitrous.
If your so damned worried about it, contact Comp Cams and spec it for yourself. I bet they tell you it's their recommended cam, for his combo.
And yes, it will most likely need a spring upgade. When I did my heads, it was about $380, including the competition vale job.

I was just asking for my little brother, he hasnt been able to get on. You dont need to be an ass about it, I am worried about it we dont want to have to do this twice.
My custom comp cam wasn't spec'd for nitrous, it was for the 306 i was going to build with RHS 200's and a 9.77:1CR flat top piston. in the operating range of 4000-6500rpm. if you need more info i can get you all that i sent to comp for getting the cam spec'd and ground by them.

I'm not trying to be an ass. You are the one that had this to say.
"Could someone read his sig and help him out on picking a good power making cam."
As if I didn't look at it and say to myself, "I gotta sell this cam, to some moron". No, I thought it would be helpful and a great deal. If not, so be it.
As far as I'm concerned, I'll keep the cam.

Doing a camshaft on an auto 5.0 liter car is a waste of time if you don't get a higher stall torque converter to use it. Pay attention to the rpm range suggested by the manufacturer then get the converter and cam that work best together. Most stage 1 cams will work ok with the stock converter. If you want to go the next step you'll need some stall. Everytime I see someone go with a smaller setup they end up getting a stall and wanting to do the next cam. It is cheaper to do them both in the first place to work together.
