guys running the gt40p heads, i need your help

i want to run l/t headers but no one make them for p heads. what kind of headers is everyone running with these heads? i know im going to probably modify the plug wires to run a different set of headers with these heads...

I run these heads and use bbk 1 3/4" longtubes. Passenger side is cake on changing plugs, driver's side is a little close... I run those boots on #7 and #8....

Some local people ran 1 5/8" bbk longtubes and couldn't get the #5 or #6 spark plug out... Good luck!

so a set of 1 3/4 is the best way to go? i think the bbk long tubes are as much as the headers for the p heads are..... either way i really want to run long tubes

I ran 1 5/8 BBK long tubes but you have to make a plug socket to get the plugs out its kinda tricky but it works

I use to run the 1 5/8" mac lt's for a 5sp on my old set of p heads. Fit pretty good....had to use 90 deg plug boots on a few plugs.

ok, so they are just a pain to replace plugs only? i can handle that.... i thought there was more to it then that lol thanks guys!

i found it was not to hard to due plugs and i used the ford motor sports 9mm wires that i had on the engine with the stock shorties..

next time your out here u can look at my 91 silver car it has p heads with lt headers u can see exactly what u r dealing with
